University of Maribor hosted the annual meeting of the Danube Rectors’ Conference in November 2015.
The topic of the conference, ”Harmonisation of the Danube Higher Education Area”, represented a milestone for the European Higher Educational Area. Networks like the DRC can make Europe stronger, especially given how dynamic higher education programs are these days. The DRC is a network of almost 70 universities from the Danube Region, keen to improve higher education and research in this region.
Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Schuster was invited to speak about “Dual study programs – Linking education to employment”. Minister of Education, Science and Sport, Dr Maja Makovec Brenčič held a welcome speech for the opening of the conference.
