EFE aims to:
- open up better professional chances for young people
- implement practice-oriented study programmes at universities and vocational schools
- improve the competitiveness of companies by better-qualified young employees
- strengthen the regional economic development
Main field of activities:
Linking education to employment:
- Professionally oriented study programmes: developing learning schemes that combine theoretical knowledge with work-based experiences, with partners from higher education institutions, policy makers and the business sector
- Vocational education and training: supporting the development of dual vocational education and training policies and systems in cooperation with ministries, municipalities, schools, businesses and other partners
- A shared responsibility of educational institutions and companies for the professional qualification of young people
- Enhancing regional development as better qualified employees improve the competitiveness of companies which helps increase investment potential and encourage job creation
