The PRO-YOUTH Training took place on 27-31 January 2020, organized by the European Foundation for Education. EFE is the Lead Partner of PRO-YOUTH, an Erasmus+ project aiming to help integrate unemployed young people into the job market by developing project-based learning modules in the cultural and heritage tourism sector.

The goal of the training was to discuss work-based learning modules currently under development for the PRO-YOUTH Handbook.  More than 40 professionals working at cultural institutions, tourism, municipalities as well as teachers and professors took part in the training, coming from Bulgaria, Croatia, Italy and Romania. The week consisted of a mix of workshops and visits to cultural institutions, such as StadtPalais, Hotel Silber, Theater Rampe and Theater am Faden. Read more about the event here.

The Multiplier Event “Skills for Heritage”, the first public event of the project was held on 30 January, co-hosted with StadtPalais – Museum für Stuttgart and open to the public. It served as a platform to introduce the project to the wider public and reflect on the topics discussed during the training before. The event started off with a presentation on public space interventions by Sascha Bauer and Dominik Schultheiß from Stuttgart-based Stadtlücken. This was followed by a world café and a roundtable discussion on involving youth in cultural projects. Read more about the event here.
